Pansy Patch Sneak Peek #2

Stampin' Up! has many "flowery" stamp sets, but the new Pansy Patch is very different, and will be available when the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog goes live starting on May 4th.  There is a stamp set, dies, beautiful Designer Series Paper (some images can be cut with the dies), new ink colors, matching ribbon, just all kinds of goodies.  I can't wait! Etched in Nature sneak peek!

        Today's card is made with a brand new stamp set from the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.  Those of you on my mailing list will be receiving your copy of the new catalog this month sometime (hopefully soon).  This catalog will go live on May 4, so there is still a couple of weeks before the current catalog ends for you to get your last-minute purchases done for the retiring items.          This new set is actually one that I received in advance through one of the Stampin' Up! mini online conventions for demonstrators.  It is called Etched in Nature, and was kind of a challenge for me because it is not really the style that I normally would choose. So, basically my inspiration was first finding some Designer Paper that I liked.          I looked at the In Good Taste DSP, as that is the one set of paper that is carrying over to the new catalog.  The set is made up of photographic images of wood, tile, stone, etc. I found the paper with the little blue design on it, and decided I liked that!  Using Night of Navy, Daffodil Yellow and Basic White cardstock. the whole card just came together. I stamped the mushroom stamp and the moth with Night of Navy ink, and embossed both with clear embossing powder to get the distinct images, then colored them using the Daffodil Yellow blends.  This stamp set does not have dies, so I fussy cut the moth image.  I also used the Stitched Rectangles dies and the Meadow Moments embossing folder, and colored some white twine with my Night of Navy marker to "tie" everything together.

Retiring Seaside Notions

I have had this fun set, Seaside Notions, for a while, and never used it.  Finally, now that it is retiring on May 3, I decided I better show what it can do, as I really do like the simplicity of this set. This set does not have dies or punches to go with it, so there is a little bit of fussy cutting to make this particular card.  I really like the little seahorse, and the other stamp images are just great to use as background or additions to the overall creation of the card.

Friends Are Like Seashells!

We can never have enough friends, and this incredibly beautiful Sand and Sea Suite from the Current 2021 Mini Catalog is perfect for creating some wonderful cards for those special friends.  The suite has not only the Friends Are Like Seashells bundle (stamp set and Seaside Shells Dies), but also has a beautiful Seashells 3D Embossing Folder, Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (DSP), and some great embellishments.  All of the products are available until end of June.

This card was made with the embossing folder and the DSP.  It also uses the fun Gilded Leafing Embellishment, which gives some amazing effects on your cards.

Happy Easter, Happy Spring!

Now that I have mailed all my Easter / Spring greetings, I can post a couple of the cards I made.  I hate to show the cards I am sending out before the recipients get them, kind of spoils the fun of opening up a special card from the mail!  Here are 2 that I made, the first one using the Hey Chick stamp set, and the second one using the Arrange a Wreath Stamp and Dies. The Hey Chick set is available until June 30, while supplies last.  The Arrange a Wreath is available until May 3, when the current Annual Catalog retires. Butterflies for Spring!

It seems that spring has finally arrived, warm, beautiful weather, flowers are blooming and butterflies are everywhere, even on this card!  This was made with the Butterfly Bouquet special product release.  Unfortunately, the Designer Paper (DSP) has completely sold out, but there are some other great Designer Paper available in both the Annual catalog and the current Mini Catalog that would work great with this stamp and die set.
