Saturday's Card - Next to Last Day for SAB!

        Well, we are down to just today and tomorrow to receive free Sale-a-bration items with every $50 order.  Don't miss out if you are planning to place an order.  Be sure you submit it before 10:00 pm Sunday PST.  Today's card is probably the simplest one I have made, yet still very eye-catching and fun.  This uses the Heal Your Heart stamp set and the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper, some Basic White and Rococo Rose Cardstock, Night of Navy ink and a little bit of ribbon.  I have embossed the white layer with the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder to give it a little texture, and then just cut and taped everything together.

Only 3 More Days!

Sale-a-bration makes me happy!

        Just 4 more days to take advantage of the great Sale-a-bration promotion!  Isn't this just the happiest card?  Don't you just want to join this little donkey frolicking in the field of flowers?  He just looks so happy!          This card used only 1 Sale-a-bration item, the Darling Donkeys Stamp Set.  I also used the Field of Flowers Stamp Set and the Stitched Rectangles dies and the Curvy Dies.  Cardstock used was Mango Melody, Garden Green, and Basic White.  The blue sky was made by using the new blending brush and Seaside Spray ink pad on Basic White cardstock.  Don't neglect the inside of your card, add some color and fun stamps too!

Five days left in Sale-a-bration countdown!

The cards for today started off to show how quick and easy it is to make an impressive card with just paper and ink.  These 2 cards used the Approaching Perfection stamp set and the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper, both free items from Sale-a-bration. Oh, I added a little ribbon and used the Balloon Bouquet punch.  Just cut the paper, stamp the sentiment, punch the balloons, stick it together and add a bow. Quick and easy!

Well, then I picked up a different color of the Oh So Ombre paper, and just had to step up the basic plan a little bit.  I have a hard time with the simple stamping cards...The first one is still pretty simple, but the second one got a little extra care.  Added a layer of Basic White cardstock, tilted all the layers, added a big heart, used the little heart border die from the Floral Heart Dies, added my favorite trim, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon (which you can color with markers to make it be any color you need!) and stuck the little white hearts from the border die all over the place.  Still pretty simple, but stepped up a little.

Sale-a-bration: just 8 more days!

Today I have the Darling Donkeys, they are so cute and just bring a smile to your face to see them!  And yes, I am once again using my favorite SAB Designer Paper, Flower & Field!  I made one card with the stamp as is, the rose in the mouth.  For the second card, I masked the rose (use a little piece of a post-it note) and them added the string and a punched balloon to make it a birthday card.  The Darling Donkeys stamp set and the Flower & Field DSP are both free, each with a $50 order.

Card for the countdown - 9 more days for SAB!

This card is so pretty, so many colors, and so easy.  It uses the Sale-a-bration stamp set Corner Bouquet, and another of piece of the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, both that you can get for free with purchases of $50.  I colored the stamp with markers so I could have the same color flowers that are in the paper.  I also used the Stitched So Sweetly Die set (10 dies total) # 151690, and the Bumblebee 1/4" ribbon # 153622, Cardstock colors: Basic Black, Basic White and Granny Apple Green.

Countdown - 10 days left for SAB

        Today I have used A Touch of Ink stamp set, and the fabulous Field & Flower Designer Series Paper (DSP), both of which you can get for free, each with a $50 order.  I absolutely LOVE this paper!  The cards shown here all use the following:  Basic Black  and Basic White cardstock, the Field & Flower DSP, and the Touch of Ink Stamps, and a little bit of the 2020-2022 In Color 1/4" ribbon (p. 160 in the annual catalog) .         The layout is basically the same for all cards, but the feeling that you get from each card is completely different just by changing the choice of paper and colors.  The hardest part about making these cards was deciding on which paper to use, there are 12 different designs!

Today's Card - A Wrapped Bouquet for someone special

This easy to make card is so versatile, as you can think of many reasons that someone special deserves a bouquet of beautiful flowers.  This card was made with Basic Black, Basic White, Smoky Slate, and Basic Gray Card Stock.  Inks used were Basic Gray and Memento Black, and the flowers were colored with the Rococo Rose Stampin' Blends,  The background on the Smokey Slate layer is just the background stamp from the set, stamped over and over in Basic Gray.  I love this set!

Thinking of You

Who do you know that could use a smile this week?

     With everything going on in the world right now, and not being able to travel, visit, and hug as much as we would like, pretty sure that we would all agree that you want to let the people you care about know that you are thinking of them.       A lot of the cards I make are cards that can be use for many different reasons.  When I make these, I don't put a specific sentiment on them, but instead use Thinking of You type of sentiments, and leave the inside blank so I can write a personal note.       I also use these cards when I know someone is going to have a hard week, maybe because of the birthday of someone they have lost, or a holiday they might be celebrating alone, or just because I want to keep in touch.       I would challenge all of you to send a card this week to someone that you have been missing, thinking about, or that could use a smile.  And don't be surprised if you open your mailbox to find a special smile for you!
